Ficus lyrata 'Fiddle Leaf Fig' is native to tropical western and central Africa. It is one of the most popular houseplants of all time with its large, glossy, dark green, heavily veined leaves in the shape of a fiddle - hence the name.  Needs regular pruning to maintain shape and promote branching. Over time, container grown plants can reach 10-12' and taller but can easily be kept at 6' to make an attractive statement plant.

If you love the Fiddle Leaf Fig but don't have the room for something that gets quite this large, check out our Ficus lyrata 'Bambino', its compact growth habit is perfect for smaller spaces.

 Care Guidelines-

~Although drought tolerant, do not allow your Ficus to dry out too much. In general, Ficus should be kept slightly moist during the growing season. Water when the top 2" of soil are dry. They do not like wet feet, so if 30 minutes after watering you see water in the saucer, pour it away.

~ Ficus prefer medium to bright light & can even be acclimated to grow in full sun. Do not place in low light areas.

~Do Not place in drafty areas or under/near an air vent. Unless temperature & humidity are high, drafts or cold air may cause Ficus to drop their lower leaves.
