Tradescantia spathacea has sword-shaped, dark green leaves (to 6-12" long) with purple undersides. Fast grower, and easy to care for - best in filtered or part sun, appreciates consistent moisture to keep the soil damp, be careful not to overwater as it is prone to root rot. Will tolerate drought once established.
