Stephania erecta is found primarily in the dry forests of Cambodia and Thailand, growing in well drained soil with some direct sun. The vines can reach up to 12' long! The genera is named in honor of Stephan Ladislaus Endlicher, 1804-1849, an Austrian botanist who formulated a major system of plant classification. The species name means 'cork bark' after the textured caudex.
Worried about your plants arriving safely in chilly weather? Add this to your order! We highly recommend adding Winter Insurance if your local HIGH temperatures are below 45 degrees in your location or if your order is using UPS Ground as the shipping source, as it will likely pass through colder states on the way.
We grow tens of thousands of plants every single year, but every week, our teams pick out only the BEST from what's now ready to ship so you get the freshest plant possible.
We are committed to providing an accessible experience for all customers.
