This little gem is for collectors who like their plants wild, weird and wonderfully untamed, coiffed in shimmering, bumpy, tiny green tentacles that flush is sparkly tones of pink, purple to red when provided enough sunlight, sweetly fragrant daisy like blooms on a chonky caudex! These are greenhouse grown starter plants that have not been exposed to direct sunlight aand will be happy in indirect bright light indoors, it is your mission to get it slowly acclimated to direct sun if you want to see it change colors. Morning sun is preferable, take care to shield the foliage from direct harsh afternoon sun. Once your plant has adjusted to your environment, we recommend repotting in terracotta. Water only during active growth phase, beginning in Fall/Winter by drenching the soil deeply and then waiting until the soil dries or leaves start to wrinkle a bit before watering again. The bottom soak/butt chug method works well. As temps increase and Summer arrives it will begin to shed all its leaves and go completely dormant, stop watering and allow it to rest undisturbed in a dry shaded spot until it is awakened again by the universes rhythm of death and rebirth. During dormancy caudex might benefit of a very very VERY LIGHT watering, more like misting, once a month max, and only if needed. This depends on combination of your temps and both light intensity/duration. Best when grown in a terracotta pot in fast draining mix.

Note to customer: soil around caudex may loosen in transit despite our best efforts to keep everything from moving, gently pat down any loose soil but do not smoosh it in hard as soil should not be compacted. If caudex completely comes out of pot, do not worry as this plant will recover easily when you follow these instructions - gently position back in pot keeping the potting mix at same level it was at before by looking at the obvious mark on caudex.  Do NOT water right away, allow time for any broken or injured root hairs to heal, we recommend you place in bright indirect light and wait at least 5-7 days before watering.
