Philodendron subhastatum is a striking climber featuring elongated, ovate triangular, glossy, dark green leaves that have a vibrant, deep red to burgundy underside, up to 2' in length. Mature plants typically reach heights of 3'-6' tall indoors, though they can grow around 6'-8' tall or higher given proper support.  Slow to moderate growth rate. As plant matures, the intense red on the underside of the leaves may fade a bit, but the overall leaf size increases significantly!

~Do Not place in full sun. Though many Philodendron can be acclimated to full sun, our Philodendron have been grown under shaded, greenhouse conditions.

~Philodendron are considerably hardy & tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions, but for the best growth it is recommended to provide higher levels of humidity.
