Peperomia 'Hope' is a hybrid from the cross of Peperomia quadrifolia and peperomia deppeana, both of which are low growing vining epiphytes from the tropical regions of Central and South America. It is a slow growing plant with small, oval, thick succulent leaves that range from light green to dark green. Tiny white flowers form on long spikes that grow on the ends of stems. It looks great in hanging baskets, and its compact growth habit and trailing stems also make it the perfect spiller in combo containers.

Grows best in bright filtered light. Water when the soil partially dries out. Use a diluted fertilizer monthly during the growing season.

Peperomia is a large genus of mostly small, epiphytic plants that grow on rotting wood in tropical & subtropical regions of the world! Most Peperomia have thick stems, fleshy leaves, & very thin, fibrous roots.

~Do Not let Peperomia sit in excess water. As epiphytes, in the wild they would be growing on tree trunks or branches in the forest understory where they would get most of their water just from dew or moisture in the air.

~Do Not place in full sun or high light. In the wild Peperomia are tropical understory or forest floor plants. This means they grow best in bright shade to low light conditions.

~Peperomia will form inflorescences when happy but unless you are trying to self-pollinate, they can be removed to conserve energy for foliage production.

This is my second pepperomia and I didn’t know what to expect but look at her! I have her on a support stake because Gabriella’s grew such sturdy, well formed leaves I want to ensure the stems are supported. I love this plant even more now that I have it. I couldn’t believe how healthy it was when it arrived, but it has stayed so happy the credit is all to the grower!
