Chambeyronia macrocarpa is a feather solitary palm with wide, thick, shiny leaflets and spectacular, bright red to maroon new leaves, which stay red for up to 2 weeks. The Flame Thrower Palm is easy to care for, and a wonderful specimen to have in your home, or landscape. These exotic and rare cold hardy palms thrive in a well-drained, moist climate with full sun to light shade outdoors or bright indirect light indoors. It is also known as the blushing Palm, Watermelon Palm, Red Feather Palm, and Red Leaf Palm.
