Rotted new leaf and a the biggest leaf was bent during shipping. Messy packaging was so thick it was mot only overkill it bent the leaves. Smaller than i had hoped for too. I’m terrified this is spider mite damage so now I’m going to have to shock the plant again and Change the soil. So sad.

I was SO SHOCKED. Alocasias typically do not ship well at all, not to mention this little guy spent four days in a box (not sellers fault), but the plant looks fantastic! No shipping damage and it has been kept so happy, it put out a new leaf within three days of its unboxing. No leaf drop or anything. I’m not sure if this plant was packaged wrong or if it just moved around a lot during shipping but the entire plant was out of the pot when it arrived despite that the roots/plant were extremely healthy and it’s almost a week after receiving it and it doesn’t seem in shock or damaged at all. I’ve ordered several plants without a packing issue so I think this guy just had a rough travel and it wasn’t Gabriella plants fault!

The quality of the plant and shipping were fantastic, as always. I was kind of disappointed with the size of the plant I received though (especially in consideration of the price); it’s a pretty juvenile plug that looks like it was just put into a 4” pot when really it’s more like a 2.5”. From the images for the plant listing, as well as photos of others, I was expecting a more mature, sizable plant.
