Cactus Selenicereus chrysocardium "Sharktooth", formerly known as Ephiphyllum chrysocardium. Commonly referred to as Fern Leaf Orchid Cactus, it is an epiphytic jungle cactus with spineless, flattened, pale green stems with rounded zig zagging lobes. Requires bright indirect light, and when exposed to early morning or late afternoon sun will grow much faster and increase the chances that once mature will produce blooms. This a a night blooming cactus, its giant white blooms with golden filaments are a sight to behold! Perfect for your outdoor moon gardens and fellow night owls out there. In a hanging basket the foliage tends to spread very wide so provide it with a lot of space. Arial roots are common along the stem which aid in climbing high on tree trunks and branches.
