Tradescantia spathacea 'Sitara's Gold' has a clump forming growth habit, rosettes of sword shaped leaves have a golden surface with purple to burgundy undersides. Fast grower, and easy to care for - best in filtered or part sun, appreciates consistent moisture to keep the soil damp, be careful not to overwater as it is prone to root rot. Will tolerate drought once established.
Every plant in my order arrived in beautiful shape. The Sitara Gold is very tender and suffered a little from the fuzz shoved around the top of the pot during shipping, but just a few days later it’s doing great. No complaints.
I bought this plant in the past and, due to my inexperience with this particular plant, I unfortunately killed it. I never thought I was going to find another available for sale without risking a purchase through potentially shady sellers on 3rd party sites. After conversing with Sarah via email, I was able to secure another plant and I am happy to say that my plant arrived healthy and happy!
The guest service was phenomenal and I felt that Sarah went out of her way to accommodate my personal request. I would give this purchase 10 stars if I could!
Thank you Sarah and those that made this purchase happen!!
(PS - she is still alive and THRIVING ❤️)
This plant smells amazing! I love the colors. This plant, like the oxalis, has very tender leaves. I've clipped the ends. I think it will come out of the shock it's been through. Looking forward to seeing it thrive.
Beautiful large healthy plant that was packed well, promptly delivered, courteous staff, they seem to passionate about plants and their business. Love their plants, will order again 💕💕
I really love the plant, and they were wrapped well, but the box was too large in my opinion and they were fairly jumbled in there. But still happy and I would try another order in the future.
Worried about your plants arriving safely in chilly weather? Add this to your order! We highly recommend adding Winter Insurance if your local HIGH temperatures are below 45 degrees in your location or if your order is using UPS Ground as the shipping source, as it will likely pass through colder states on the way.
We grow tens of thousands of plants every single year, but every week, our teams pick out only the BEST from what's now ready to ship so you get the freshest plant possible.
