Stephania erecta is found primarily in the dry forests of Cambodia and Thailand, growing in well drained soil with some direct sun. The vines can reach up to 12' long! The genera is named in honor of Stephan Ladislaus Endlicher, 1804-1849, an Austrian botanist who formulated a major system of plant classification. The species name means 'cork bark' after the textured caudex.
Note to customer, please understand any blooms that may be present at time of shipping may not last until the package arrives to you, may also drop leaves - but not to worry! under proper care, the caudex will produce new vines, and new foliage/flowers.
