Philodendron 'El Choco Red' is characterized by its large, elongated heart shaped leaves in a velvety matte green, with dramatic deep red to burgundy undersides, most intense on new growth. As the leaves age, the deep crimson undersides fade slightly to a brownish red or light red. Typically reaches 3'-5' tall, though it can grow much larger when given a support to climb. Often mistaken for P. verrucosum, but much less delicate foliage and intense, fast growing nature.

~Do Not place in full sun. Though many Philodendron can be acclimated to full sun, our Philodendron have been grown under shaded, greenhouse conditions.

~Philodendron are considerably hardy & tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions, but for the best growth it is recommended to provide higher levels of humidity.
