The footed fern 'Davana' develops much more ruffled, scalloped fronds than the traditional 'Blue Star', its arching fronds emerge light green, and later develop a powdery blue patina as they mature. Orange spore cases decorate the frond undersides. Being a tropical epiphyte, this fern likes to stay moist but not be in soggy soil. Air flow and a light substrate are key! Tolerates low to medium light, performs best in bright indirect light. Has a clumping, creeping habit, with furry rhizomes developing and spreading out from the base, producing new fronds!
