The currently accepted scientific name for this plant is actually Ficus sinuata but we think that the quercifolia describes this Ficus better! [That's because the Genus of Oak Trees is Quercus-- which makes quercifolia translated from Latin to literally mean, foliage resembling that of oaks!] Having the leaf shape of an Oak Tree is where the resemblances stop though because unlike many other Ficus species this plant is a creeping climber, forming long vines instead of ever developing a trunk. Commonly referred to as "String of Frogs"
