Tacca integrifolia "White Bat", is commonly known as bat plant or bat flower due to its most unusual flowering structure resembling a bat. At maturity, the plant reaches between 2' - 4' tall with dark green leaves up to 24" long and 10" wide. Up to 30 purple red to brown flowers bloom in umbels rising from 3' long scapes, each umbel is surrounded by 4 large white bracts with purple tinting, and numerous whisker like bracts between 8" - 12' long droop downward from the flower umbels. Place in bright indirect light, maintain high humidity and keep soil evenly moist.
