Philodendron mexicanum is an easy climber that grows both as a terrestrial plant and as an epiphyte on the sides of trees. Foliage gets very large as it matures, approximately 2' long and 1' wide! The leathery arrow shaped dark green leaves with magenta to maroon undersides have unequal basal lobes, making it appear to be three leaves due to the upper dog-eared lobes.
