Cissus amazonica has small lance shaped, silver green leaves with brightly colored veins and pink to burgundy undersides. A native to the Brazilian rainforest, it is commonly referred to as Amazon Jungle Vine.  It is a fast grower that will cascade over the edge of the hanging basket or if provided with a support will quickly climb and wrap itself around with its long tendrils. As a climber it makes the perfect addition to your climbing philodendrons, filling in the spaces between with its small contrasting leaf shape and color!

All parts of this plant produce a secretion that form crystals called cystolyths, this is a natural process and is not cause for alarm. Prefers shade to partial shade, performs very well under low light conditions. Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings.
