Dichorisandra penduliflora has a lateral branching habit and glossy, dark green, elliptic leaves with a light silver banding and the undersides are slightly pubescent.
Vivid blue flowers have 3 petals and are borne on pendulous inflorescences. Likes consistently moist soil. Grow in full sun to partial shade. Commonly referred to as weeping blue ginger, but it is not in the ginger family, it is in the same plant family as dayflowers (Tradescantia).
